iExec's RLC Rockets 89% as Broader Crypto Market Sheds $75 Billion

iExec's RLC token was the standout mover across the market, jumping 88.98% to $0.917, catapulting the rank-341 project into trending conversations despite its modest size. The move came alongside a smaller but still sharp rally in Bedrock's BR token, up 43.6% to $0.596, suggesting pockets of speculative buying were active in lower-cap names even as sentiment soured elsewhere. Bitcoin, by contrast, held nearly flat at $86,223.87, up just 0.18% on the day, while its dominance climbed to 59.27% of total market cap — a sign capital was consolidating into the largest asset as risk appetite for altcoins broadly cooled.

The market's 24-hour pullback of 2.54% erased tens of billions in value, with total trading volume reaching $80.58 billion. Among the top five gainers tracked across the broader market, NEAR Protocol led with a 4.33% gain to $5.24, followed by Zcash, up 3.54% to $1,363.23, and OKB, up 2.89% to $131.02. Canton and Avalanche rounded out the list with gains of 2.83% and 2.72%, respectively — modest moves relative to RLC's near-90% spike, underscoring how concentrated the day's biggest gains were in a handful of names.

On the losing side, Ethena's ENA token posted the steepest decline among tracked tokens, down 5.82% to $0.2407. MemeCore fell 5.58% to $0.99, and Rain dropped 5.57% to $0.0114, while Figure Heloc's FIGR_HELOC token showed no change data available at $1.033. The losses were broad enough to drag total market cap down despite Bitcoin's stability, pointing to weakness concentrated in mid-cap and altcoin segments rather than a flight from crypto wholesale.

Elsewhere in trending activity, Monad's MON token fell 10.55% to $0.0287, among the sharpest declines of any actively traded name in the data, while Venice Token slipped 5.42% to $27.90. Hyperliquid's HYPE, the 11th-ranked cryptocurrency by market cap, ticked up a mild 0.75% to $93.60, and Solana was essentially flat, down 0.20% to $120.44 — both holding steady while smaller tokens swung violently in either direction.

The split between a nearly unchanged Bitcoin, a flat-to-down major-altcoin cohort, and explosive moves in low-rank tokens like RLC and BR illustrates a market where risk is being repriced unevenly: capital appears to be rotating into speculative micro-cap plays even as broader sentiment, measured by the market's aggregate 2.5% drop, remains negative.
