The total crypto market capitalization fell 3.6% over the past 24 hours to $2.75 trillion, with Bitcoin dominance holding firm at 59.4% even as the top coin itself slipped 0.9% to $81,442. Trading volume across the sector topped $148 trillion, reflecting heavy churn as traders repositioned. Ether's share of the market stood at 10.7%, underscoring Bitcoin's continued grip during the downturn.
Zcash was the session's most notable faller among major assets, dropping 7.5% to $1,144.70 after a sharp run that had pushed it into the top 10 coins by market cap. The retreat came alongside declines in NEAR Protocol, down 6.1% to $5.03, and Starknet, which posted the steepest loss in the trending list at -16.7%, falling to $0.072. Quant and Jupiter also slid, down 3.3% and 2.5% respectively, suggesting the selling pressure extended well beyond any single sector.
On the trending charts, Dacity Coin was the standout, surging 31.7% to $0.0262 even as nearly every other widely-searched token fell. The rally stood in stark contrast to names like Collector Crypt, down 13.6%, and Pearl, off 9.7%, both of which saw heavy selling despite elevated search interest. Monad and Pump.fun were comparatively steady, slipping less than 1% each, while Injective bucked the trend entirely with a 2% gain to $8.72.
Among coins tracked specifically for daily performance, gains were modest and losses more pronounced. Bitway led advancers with a 4.9% rise to $1.93, followed by Polkadot's 1.7% uptick to $1.17 and small moves higher for Monero and TRON. On the losing side, Rain fell 7.5% to under a cent, while Ondo dropped 4.6% to $0.4496, rounding out a session where red outnumbered green across nearly every major list.
Taken together, the data points to a market-wide risk-off move rather than an isolated token event — Bitcoin, Zcash, NEAR, Starknet and Ondo all fell in tandem, while advancers were confined mostly to smaller-cap names posting gains under 5%. With active cryptocurrencies tracked at 22,318 and volume running far above typical daily levels, the breadth of the pullback marks one of the more synchronized down days across the sector recently.
